Artist Statement :

"Every artist's style is unique. Each one has their own techniques, practices, learnings and teachings".

With over 20 years of experience, I have gained the adeptness to use graphite and paints in my artistic works. I have been fortunate to have received the basic foundation and also to have studied the traditional style of paintings, under the guidance of Mysore Palace Artist - C. Kuppachar. My tryst with art didn't stop there. I continued to research, learn, refine and develop skills for another decade, which profoundly let to self developed and self gained expertise.

Art has been the one constant factor in my life. As I continued drawing and painting, and my skills continued to evolve. Art is like traveling, the more you do, the more you realize you haven't done enough. Art is a continuous journey for me to explore and express.

My works are plain Black-White at times when I find more truth in the subject. Whereas, I use bright, fierce colors for the traditional Indian paintings. Countries, Culture & Nature, fascinate me the most. They inspire me to use bold colors. I find many new subjects for my art when I travel. I love working with various media and surfaces, depending on what I intend to present. This leads to unique experiments and outcomes.

I have created artworks in various media like - Graphite, Oil, Water, Natural & Acrylic colors. I have experimented and combined basic art mediums along with other materials to best express on canvas, paper and block board.

Most of my paintings were born from photographs taken while traveling. However, being born in the beautiful country like India is in itself a inspiration!
